When ordering please carefully note the processing time; this is the time it takes from when you place your order to when it is delivered.
Processing time is usually 8-10+ weeks, however it depends on orders, material availability, drying and creation time. Please note, the more complex orders are and the more the quantity, the more time they will take to do. Therefore we will keep you updated and try to ensure that orders are completed around this time mark.
Likewise, the longer you take to return our forms and emails, the longer we'll have to take waiting!
If you have a specific timeframe, let us know beforehand so that we can see what we can do to ensure that you receive it on time. Please also be aware, there are circumstances that are out of our control and may cause disruptions in the process(ie. supplier delays, making orders and waiting for them to dry, shipping delays, COVID-19 lockdowns, Customs).
Initial Consult:
Email us to discuss your potential order. We will discuss with you ideas and what you would like. Once we've given you approval, feel free to order.
Forms:
You will receive a form to customise and provide us with all the details, including colour, name, number and photos. As we wait for you to fill out the form, we will find and order a base with our supplier that suits the needs of your custom.
Digital Draft:
We then begin making our digital drafts the figure which can take up to 1 - 2 weeks depending on how much you want on them. We also sometimes like to wait for the base to arrive to us, to make sure the drafts are a similar to the real like doll as we can make it.
Preparation:
As we finish the digital drafts - to make sure everything is accurate we wait for the base to be shipped to us. Once receiving these we begin to remodel and prepare the base. This may include de-heading the dolls, cutting off plastic, adding clay and sanding down etc. - ready for painting.
Paint:
During this week, we start painting, painting and painting. we add multiple coats to ensure the colour is strong and lasts! The more detail, the more paint, the more time it takes. Remember, we have to wait for each layer to dry!
Box Digital Draft:
During this time, we've worked on your digital draft for your box. We may also adjust the figure draft to match the real life thing. We'll send these out to you for final approval. Once we get them approved to you - we sent them off to our printer to be printed. We then cut, fold and assemble your custom popvinyl box.
Protection Spray:
During this week, once all the painting has dried, we spray with protectant spray. This is to make sure our work lasts forever! Because the spray is very thick and we have to multiple layers, it can take up to a few days/weeks to dry.
Shipped:
Once this is all done, we can then snap a few quick pictures to triple check everything, pack up your order and ship!
